Terms of Use

1. Platform Description

LovieMe is a developer-oriented platform that provides free custom subdomains under the lovie.me apex domain, paired with authoritative Anycast DNS zone management and serverless SMTP email routing. The platform is built and operated by founder Sagar Kewat on a best-effort, as-is basis.

Paid tiers (Pro Lifetime and Builder Grant) offer expanded subdomain quotas, higher DNS record limits, and additional email forwarding capacity. Payments for paid tiers are processed via Ko-fi or PayPal and are governed by their respective terms. LovieMe does not directly process or store payment card information.

2. Account Registration

To use LovieMe services, you must authenticate via a supported OAuth provider (currently GitHub OAuth and Google OAuth). By signing in you confirm:

• You are at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
• All information provided is accurate, current, and complete.
• You are solely responsible for all activity occurring under your account.
• You will not share account access with third parties.
• You will notify us immediately at legal@lovie.me if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Subdomain Ownership, Operational Lifespan & Shutdown Policy

When you claim a subdomain (e.g., yourname.lovie.me), you retain full ownership of the DNS configuration data, content, and services hosted under that subdomain. LovieMe does not claim any intellectual property rights over your subdomain content.

Additionally, LovieMe retains the right to reclaim, suspend, or permanently release any subdomain at its sole discretion if:

• The subdomain is used in violation of these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
• The subdomain is used for spam, phishing, malware distribution, or any illegal activity.
• The account is inactive for more than 24 consecutive months with no login activity.
• A valid legal takedown request, court order, or government directive requires it.

Reclaimed subdomains become immediately available to the public. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you via your registered email before reclaiming a subdomain, except where prohibited by law or in cases of urgent abuse.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use LovieMe to host, route, or facilitate any content or activity that:

• Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
• Is defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, or constitutes hate speech.
• Infringes any intellectual property rights of third parties.
• Distributes malware, ransomware, spyware, or any malicious code.
• Operates phishing sites, scam portals, or deceptive credential harvesting pages.
• Sends unsolicited bulk email (spam) through email routing features.
• Attempts to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or abuse LovieMe infrastructure.
• Mines cryptocurrency or conducts resource-intensive automated operations.

5. Service Availability and SLA

LovieMe is an indie platform provided on a best-effort basis. We target high availability of our Anycast DNS edge network but do not guarantee any specific uptime SLA for free tier users. Pro and Builder Grant users are provided best-effort priority routing.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable for any downtime, data loss, or interruption of service.

6. Payments, Refunds, and Upgrades

Payments for the Pro Lifetime tier are processed via Ko-fi or PayPal. By completing a payment:

• You agree to the respective payment platform's terms of service.
• All sales are final. No refunds will be issued except where required by applicable law or where LovieMe is unable to deliver the purchased tier features.
• "Lifetime" explicitly refers to the operational lifetime of the LovieMe platform as an active service, not your personal lifetime. Subdomains remain functional only for the duration that this website and infrastructure remain live; if LovieMe is ever discontinued or shut down, all associated subdomains will expire accordingly.
• Builder Grant access is non-purchasable and is awarded at LovieMe's sole discretion.

7. Intellectual Property

All LovieMe platform code, branding, logos, interface design, documentation, and marketing materials are the exclusive intellectual property of LovieMe and its founder Sagar Kewat, protected under applicable Indian and international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or create derivative works of LovieMe's proprietary materials without express written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law and applicable international law, LovieMe and its founder Sagar Kewat shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform.
• Loss of data, subdomain configurations, or DNS records.
• Revenue or business loss caused by service interruptions.
• Actions of third-party processors including Gcore, Supabase, Ko-fi, or PayPal.

Our maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to LovieMe in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000 INR, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting all subdomains and contacting us at legal@lovie.me. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account immediately and without notice for violations of these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.

Upon termination, all subdomains are released, DNS records are purged, and email routing rules are removed. Data retained for legal compliance purposes will be handled per our Privacy Policy.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. Unresolved disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the announcement banner on the LovieMe website and/or via email. Continued use of the platform after the effective date of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
